ML21.Healthcare
In a hospital’s oncology department, too many “urgent” treatments were scheduled, disrupting regularly scheduled operations. At first glance, there were no obvious common factors. Our technologies were used to find the root cause of these “urgent” treatments.
Our core technology has been applied in healthcare to analyze the flow of patients through their treatment journey.
Results
After performing several analyses, we found that almost all “urgent” cases involved patients undergoing radiotherapy and (rightly) prioritized blood test results from radiotherapy patients.
Process mining
Process mining was applied to run a seminal stream of patients through the department. From this, a clear “happy flow” through the system emerged, and in the various places where there was deviation from the process.
Low Entry
CodeNext21’s systems do not require extensive integration to add value. In this case, anonymized CSV was provided to get “quick and dirty” initial insights.
